Cashews are awesome for replicating creamy things. I’ve been successful with this cashew-based Caesar dressing and also this creamy Alfredo sauce, so why not try my hand at some homemade coffee creamer using this healthy, useful nut.

HOW TO MAKE VEGAN CREAMER

It’s no secret, I am a coffee person. I also love tea but there is something about coffee that is more of an event than tea. For most people, it kicks off your morning and because of that, a good cuppa joe can really set the tone for the rest of the day.

Is cashew milk good in coffee? If you like creamy deliciousness then, yes, cashew milk good in coffee. Cashews are a very rich, oily nut and when they are blended it’s a transformation into thick, creamy milk that is perfect for your Americano.

Only four simple ingredients to prepare this cashew milk creamer.

I also use filtered water and love this Propur pitcher. We use filtered water for drinking and cooking with so this pitcher gets a lot of use.

Making this recipe couldn’t be easier! The nice thing about using the cashews is ZERO straining. That means no cheese cloth or nut milk bag to fiddle with or rinse out, etc.

Instructions

  • Place the cashews in a bowl and cover them with filtered water. Let these soak for 4 hours or overnight.
  • Add the soaked cashews to your blender with the ¾ cup filtered water, vanilla, and sea salt.
  • Blend until creamy adding more water if necessary to reach your desired consistency.
  • Store in a lidded glass mason jar in the fridge for up to a week. Shake really well before using!
